De De and her long-time best friend Mimi Machu were the first two girls recruited, after being spotted on the dancefloor at popular Sunset Strip nightclub Gazzarri’s -- by the club’s owner Bill Gazzarri himself. Gazzarri pointed them out to his friend Al Burton, \u003Ci\u003EHAGG\u003C\/i\u003E’s producer, who invited them to dance on the show, which was in pre-production at that stage.
